By means of installations, images, texts and actions we tried to find out how we deal with change, loss and destruction. Do we have to combat or deny it, receive it, distort it, accept it, use it, expect it? We tested it in Total Loss no14 with the public. At the end of the experiment we ate together and discussed the test.

Texts, installations and scenes have been tested by Fokka. Bas has done tests with Daniel White for their design project CRASH in which they destroy one thing and make another.

You want to brainstorm with a group of people about a certain problem. The souplab offers an alternative to exchanging classic names and functions. At the souplab, the taste of your neighbor at the table is the first thing you learn. What do you like? Do you like spicy or soft? Then you go to work and put together a delicious soup for that table companion. At the table you write the ingredients of your soup on the tablecloth and you come up with a nice name.

The brainstorming that follows is relaxed and productive, but above all equivalent. Because everyone has made soup, it has become a binding factor, a joint experience that outweighs your position as director or gardener.

As with every performance, we have also organized powerlabs for Glass. We have tried things out with the public at various stages in the process.

The theme of privacy was very interesting and very comprehensive. We have looked at physical and mental privacy. And it has resulted in a beautiful performance and an interesting workshop.

The main motivation for Powerboat to make this performance is the truth, in an interactive theater performance, to ask the audience basic questions about living together, especially because theater has traditionally been the place or social precautions.

The world is on the move, but there is also distrust, fear, dissatisfaction and apathy on a small scale.

The film After Hours by Martin Scorsese was the starting point of the project in which we tried to make theater in a new way.

We invited all kinds of people to the first meeting; theater makers, actors, designers, filmmakers. together we watched the film and then asked who would like to participate in this project.

Then everyone, in pairs, organized a day or evening. You received 6 workshops / experiences and organized / devised one. One of them took place at the Over het IJ festival.

They were very special evenings / days. The end goal is a performance or installation.

Poldertango is about the passion for the flat wet land. What connection do you have with the country where you live? If foreigners come, are you proud of your country and do you want to share it with everyone? Or do you feel insecure?

You can only love someone else if you love yourself. do you only know who the other person is, if you know yourself? Poldertango is an experiential search for a shared identity with the country and the other.
